Many of us in our lifetime would have at least known a friend or colleague who is part of a pair of identical twins. Despite sharing the same genetic makeup, upbringing, and environmental influences, these twins often lead distinct lives, with differing experiences and outcomes.
From a metaphysical perspective, identical twins typically share the same Bazi 八字 (Chinese birth chart), given the relatively short interval between their births, typically averaging 17 minutes (the Chinese hour is made up of two standard hours). This raises an intriguing question: what factors contribute to the disparities in their life experiences?
One plausible explanation lies in the realm of nomenclature, specifically the Chinese names bestowed upon them. As parents usually assign distinct names to each twin, this becomes a significant differentiator. An analysis of their Chinese names in relation to their Bazi often reveals that the twin with the more favourable life outcomes is the one whose name aligns with the beneficial elements of their birth chart.
Hence from this discussion, we can know that our name is actually an important factor, in particular our Chinese name and it should be chosen carefully.
